Holly Fulton

This is one of my favourite collections from London Fashion Week. Holly Fulton, a young London designer, took her initial inspiration from Coco Chanel, whilst being experimental with the most traditional English fabric, Tweed. But whilst there is a particular Britishness about the fabric, shes mixed this with the print of the Manhattan skyline and the use of the red lips help add wit and give the collection a personal touch. I also like the reference to the 60s silhouette, and the deco inspired patterns.

I love the use of colour, especially the yellow against the black, and although some people say this collection by Fulton is more simple than normal, I like how she can be experimental and I think this collection works beautifully!

Enjoy xx
