unique

i have finally had a spare minute to catch up and report on everything lfw and what better place to start than the topshop unique show.
the show took the audience on a journey through ancient egypt to up-market 70s disco with a bit of 90s nyc thrown in just for fun. there was a definite sportswear vibe to the collection yet there was still a feminine twist with the shape of the clothing and the use of see through fabric. the graffitied on egyptian style prints in just black, gold and cream gave a dramatic vibe, whilst the use of pale pinks and blues added to the femininity.

the show has received some bad press saying that it was too sell out with too much fast fashion, yet i thought the collection was simple but stunning and everything was so wearable. maybe it is this wearability that makes it so appealing yet so commercial.
also, love the shoes!

enjoy xx
